PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (Title 32)

As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-7, you will:

This position is located in the Joint Forces Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4/G-4), Surface Maintenance Facility. The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule, control, and monitor the status of equipment maintenance; and to assist a higher-graded Production Controller.

• National Guard Membership is required.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• May be required to successfully complete a trial period.
• Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Enlisted to WO1. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted. The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training working with people from various levels and backgrounds. Experience with a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data. Experience assisting or maintaining workflow.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training.

• Knowledge of production control procedures and operations.
• Knowledge of policies, regulations, and processes governing production control operations.
• Knowledge of equipment (i.e. combat vehicles, armored personnel carriers, engineer and power generating equipment, tactical vehicles, etc.) to correct and analyze a variety of routine production data and processes, prepare production schedules and prepare reporting data.

MILITARY INCENTIVES:

Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
