Job Description
Overview:
• Position: Senior IT/Information Assurance Specialist
• Duration: Through 2033
• Program: Cybersecurity and Engineering Program
• Supporting: DoD USAF
• Location: Robins Air Force Base, GA
• Rate: $57.16 - 62.49/hr
• Clearance: TS/SCI
• Including having been read onto a Special Access Program
• Interview Process: 1-Round; Virtual
• Onboarding: 2-4 weeks
• Job Overview:
• Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces.
• Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and documentation.
• Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests.
• Review, prepare, and update authorization packages.
• Notify customers of changes that may affect authorization accreditation.
• Conduct the cybersecurity portion of the self-inspection checklist.
• Review and provide technical and cybersecurity coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that make up the authorization package.
• Identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
• Ensure compliance with security policies in the operation, maintenance, and disposal of information systems and network appliances.
• Perform Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) system administration, scheduling, and configuration.
• Provide external information systems client support.
• Manage account creations, changes, and deletions on multiple authorization boundaries.
• Perform help desk and troubleshooting activities.
• Handle hardware/software system configuration, upgrades, and modifications.
• Perform system and network appliance patching activities.
• Provide government-issued laptop support.
• Assist in media control and accountability activities.
• Manage COMSEC account/equipment management activities.
• Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related area or equivalent experience (4 years).
• Active TS/SCI
• 8+ years of experience in positions such as System Administrator, Network Administrator, ISSO, SCA, Information Assurance Specialist, or other similar
• 2+ years of total experience supporting Special Access Programs
• IAT Level II or IAM Level II required within 6 months of hire (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security)
