Senior Platform Engineer – Cloud & DevSecOps
Onsite in Aurora Colorado or Colorado Springs Colorado
Active TS/SCI
This role supports the design, development, integration, and sustainment of a cloud‑based compute, network, and storage infrastructure for a large‑scale national mission program. You will modernize platform capabilities using emerging technologies, automation, and DevSecOps practices to improve performance, reliability, and delivery speed across development and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, integrate, and optimize cloud‑based platform and infrastructure environments across build, integration/test, and production
Apply best practices and automation (Terraform, Ansible, Chef) to improve scalability, consistency, and deployment efficiency
Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and Agile teams to deliver resilient, scalable platform solutions
Embed security and compliance controls, including encryption and access management
Provide operational support to maintain platform stability and performance
Required Qualifications
BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Physics, or related STEM field; up to 5 years’ experience
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (required Day 1); U.S. citizenship
Strong RedHat Linux installation, configuration, and administration experience
Hands‑on cloud infrastructure development (preferably AWS)
Proficiency with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef)
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with servers, networks, storage, virtualization
DevSecOps development and delivery experience
AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, VPC)
Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman)
CI/CD tools (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab, Helm)
Several Compensation options - Consultant (hourly with no employer paid benefits) or Salaried with employer paid Benefits. Benefits include - Health/Dental/Vision 401k/Life insurance/LTD-STD/EAP
Salary range is 125k to 185k plus DOE
