Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Specialist to sit onsite in Aberdeen, MD. They will support program execution, procurement activities, supply chain coordination, and operational planning across a complex program environment. This role works closely with program leadership, procurement teams, logistics personnel, technical staff, and customer stakeholders to ensure materials, resources, and program deliverables are tracked and executed efficiently.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong organizational and communication skills, and is experienced in coordinating multiple priorities while driving operational processes to completion.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Coordinate daily operational activities across procurement, supply chain, logistics, and program teams to support successful program execution.
• Track purchase orders, material deliveries, inventory status, and program requirements to ensure milestones and customer commitments are met.
• Maintain action-item trackers, operational schedules, and status reports, ensuring tasks are completed on time and stakeholders remain informed.
• Support procurement and supply chain activities by coordinating with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and expedite deliveries when required.
• Monitor operational risks, material shortages, and schedule impacts, escalating concerns and supporting mitigation efforts as needed.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reports that provide visibility into procurement status, inventory readiness, and program performance.
• Assist with demand planning, resource coordination, and forecasting activities to support program objectives.
• Review operational documentation, procurement records, and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve operational processes, and increase efficiency across the program.
• Communicate effectively with program leadership, customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to provide updates and support decision-making.
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring timely execution of assigned tasks.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, cost control, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.
Compensation: $37.50/hr. to $58/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
