CACI is seeking a highly organized and proactive Operations Lead to support a large and growing DOD program focused on Counter-UAS mission support located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position is 100% onsite.
In this role you will reporting directly to the Senior Program Operations Manager, the Operations Lead will be dedicated to supporting specific engineering teams across multiple fast-paced projects. While the Operations Manager oversees contract-wide operations, this Lead will be the "boots on the ground" for assigned engineering teams-executing day-to-day procurement, managing logistics and travel, supervising support staff, and actively solving operational problems so the engineering teams can remain focused on their technical mission.

- Lead day-to-day program operations for assigned engineering teams, specifically driving procurement, logistics, travel coordination, and equipment tracking.
- Team Support: Act as the primary operational interface for engineering leads, ensuring their teams have the materials, resources, and logistical support required to meet mission deadlines.
- Procurement & Tracking: Execute high-volume procurement requests with a focus on speed and accuracy. Maintain precise material delivery data to support the Operations Manager in financial forecasting and reporting.
- Supervisory Role: Supervise, train, and develop team-level operations staff (e.g., Program Specialists), ensuring accountability and responsive support to the engineering teams.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify operational roadblocks (e.g., supply chain delays, travel issues, resourcing conflicts) and implement immediate, effective solutions.
- Reporting Assistance: Support the Operations Manager by compiling team-level metrics, action items, and deliverable updates for the monthly Program Management Review (PMR) and CDRL submissions.
- Process Improvement: Help build and enforce standard operating procedures across procurement, onboarding, and logistics within a fast-growth
Required:
- BA/BS and 5+ years of related operational experience, or MA/MS and 3+ years of related experience.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience executing DOD program operations, specifically handling procurement, logistics, and complex travel coordination.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity, directing the daily activities of operational or administrative support staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, urgent requests, and high-volume workflows.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate seamlessly between technical engineering teams and higher-level program management.
Desired:
- Experience supporting Counter-UAS, electronic systems, or other defense technology programs.
- Familiarity with CPFF and T&M contract execution.
- Experience assisting with the development, tracking, and delivery of CDRLs.
- Familiarity with DOD procurement systems and compliance requirements.
