Job Description
Tensley Consulting is seeking an Automated Test Engineer to support the development, integration, and testing of mission-critical software systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on Python development experience, a strong background in automated software testing, and experience working within modern CI/CD environments.
This position will focus on developing and maintaining automated test solutions, supporting software integration activities, troubleshooting system and network-level issues, and improving the reliability and quality of software releases.
Key Responsibilities
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of relevant military experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
A master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.
Salary: $100,000-$180,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated software tests using Python.
- Build automated test solutions using frameworks such as pytest.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
- Analyze software and system requirements to develop appropriate test strategies.
- Support software system development, integration, and testing activities.
- Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects.
- Use version-control systems such as Git or Subversion to manage software and test code.
- Test applications operating within Unix, Linux, or Windows environments.
- Assist with network and protocol-level troubleshooting and analysis.
- Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and other technical stakeholders to improve software quality.
