Position: Top Secret Applied AI/ ML Engineer
Clearance: Top Secret
Location: Hybrid Ft. Meade, MD.
Duration: 6 month contract to hire, you will convert perm after 6 months
Must Haves:
• Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, or deploying AI/ML solutions within production environments
• Experience building applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, or agentic AI frameworks
• Strong Python development experience
• Experience deploying applications within AWS, Azure, or similar cloud environments
• Experience working with software development best practices and service-based architectures
• Experience utilizing containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, or external systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently throughout the software development lifecycle
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret, TS/SCI Clearance or Polygraph
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar AI orchestration frameworks
• Experience building agentic workflows, autonomous systems, or AI-driven automation solutions

This individual will work alongside engineers, architects, and technical leaders to develop AI-powered applications, agentic workflows, and machine learning solutions that support complex operational challenges. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience building, deploying, and optimizing AI-enabled applications in production environments. The selected candidate will contribute throughout the development lifecycle, including solution design, model integration, software development, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement. Successful candidates will be comfortable working across multiple technologies while rapidly adapting to evolving requirements and emerging AI capabilities.
