Mechanical Designer

DeMase Technical Services is hiring two onsite Mechanical Designers in Wilmington, NC, to work with mechanical engineers to perform detailed mechanical designs using software, such as SolidWorks. You will create detailed process/equipment designs and assemblies for advanced engineering projects. This role requires an active DOE Q security clearance (or equivalent DoD TS). Key responsibilities include:

• Develops CAD models;
• Produces detailed 3D models, component layouts, and manufacturing-ready 2D drawings for complex mechanical process systems and equipment/components;
• Performs design duties on a sensitive project involving classified information while strictly adhering to federal government security protocols;
• Partners with cross-functional engineering teams to review designs, ensure manufacturability, and resolve engineering constraints; and
• Maintains accurate design history files, revision logs, and technical data packages in accordance with applicable standards.

Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 depending on education and experience
