Position: C++ Software Engineer
Location (hybrid or remote flexibility if applicable): On site 5-days a week in Manassas
Clearance: Minimum Secret
Must Haves:
Strong professional experience with C++
Solid understanding of C++ dependencies, linking, and build behavior
Extensive experience working in Linux environments
Proven ability to debug complex, non‑trivial software issues
Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment
Familiarity working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
Day-To-Day:
We are seeking a C++ Software Engineer whose primary day‑to‑day focus will be analyzing code dependencies, diagnosing build and runtime issues, and fixing defects in a large C++ codebase. This role works closely with DevOps and build teams to ensure applications compile, link, test, and run correctly in automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab‑based).
This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys debugging complex systems, understanding how pieces fit together, and stabilizing software in production‑like environments.
Program: Mission-critical research and development program funded by our client developing technologies that impact numerous products and programs across RMS.
