Raytheon's Land Air Defense Systems (LADS) Engineering Execution Department is seeking a skilled and motivated Integrated Product Team Lead to support the Excalibur Ic program. The Excalibur Ic Program's Systems Performance Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) is a technical role responsible for leading a multi-disciplined, team in the upgrade and merger of Excalibur products. The Systems Performance IPTL will report to the Ic Development Chief Engineer and consult with the Ic Development Program Manager. The IPTL will frequently interface with internal and external stakeholders, technical subject matter experts, key major suppliers and government customers. The role requires a high level of execution expertise coupled with the ability to lead a high visibility development program. In this role, you will drive engineering execution and deliver increasing value to our customers. The Systems Performance IPTL will ensure all scope is executed per program plan, with a cohesive technical approach and compliant to our execution practices. The System Performance IPTL will lead a team that identifies Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) and simulation performance needs in collaboration with other IPTLs and then develops solutions to those needs. The IPTL will need to utilize the team to create and execute program plans from identification of issue through requirements development, design, integration, test and qualification. This is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.


  • Drive execution of work scope as defined in the program schedule and define objectives and priorities for your team.
  • Communicate to both program and business unit leadership to provide status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed.
  • Manage team budget and schedule and work with your team to ensure cost goals and schedule milestones are met while maintaining technical rigor based on program risk posture.
  • Collaborate with Business Manager on EVMS (earned value management system), be responsible for estimated-at-complete (EACs), and report business metrics to program and functional leadership.
  • Provide program leadership to the IPT and many collaborative partners from undefined situations/circumstances
  • Manage the engineering execution for the development of GNC and simulation products with a challenging schedule
  • Provide technical direction, expertise and review for Simulation Models, GNC Updates and performance evaluation.
  • Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Engineering Directorate Leaders, Chief Engineers, and Technical Subject Matter Experts to maintain alignment across the Portfolio
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to team members
  • Collaborate with other IPTs to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts



  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience managing a System Performance (GNC/Signal Processing) Engineering team.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule and execution for technical projects.
  • Experience with GNC and signal processing algorithm development as well as utilization of Missile Kit software.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.



  • Experience using program management tools such as Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to program leadership.
  • A Program Manager Certification level six (6) or ability to obtain within the first year in the role.
  • Ability as an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to provide System Performance solutions
  • Advanced Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
  • Experience in working with Hardware and the Loop (HWIL) and Computer in the Loop environments (CIL)
  • Familiarity with the Excalibur Family of Programs

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
