Job Description
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
• Conduct analysis and assessment of USSTRATCOM core mission areas: Global Strike and Nuclear Operations.
• Support planning, development, execution, and analysis of competition, planning in crisis, combat, risk, exercise, and other-directed assessments. Assessment methodologies are based primarily on guidance set forth in Joint Publications (JP) 5-0, JP 3-0, Joint Doctrine Note (JDN) 1-15, the Joint Risk Analysis Methodology (CJCSM 3105.01 series), and applicable Department of War orders.
• Analyze, evaluate and measure the progress of joint force operations, activities and investments toward mission accomplishment.
• Conduct assessments to analyze progress toward achieving National, Military and Command-level objectives and tasks.
• Additional support to assessments includes:
o Identify, collect, analyze, and enter data.
o Participate in boards, bureaus, centers, cells, and working groups.
o Utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to augment analysis.
o Assist in producing reports, providing critical review of documents, preparing meeting minutes, participating in briefings and staffing packages across the command using current Command approved business practices.
o Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and provide innovative and effective ways to improve current assessment processes, tools, and products.
Experience
• At least 15 years of interagency and/or CCMD desk officer international affairs experience.
• At least 3 years of overseas experience required.
• There are two Senior Regional Affairs positions on this contract. One shall have at least 6 years of experience working on European affairs and one shall have at least 6 years of experience working on Indo-Pacific affairs.
• A master's degree or higher, with at least one of the degrees (bachelor’s or master’s) in International Affairs, economics, or equivalent degrees, is required.
