We're Hiring: VP of Contracts

Are you an experienced contracts professional who enjoys navigating complex federal and commercial agreements while partnering with executive leadership to drive business growth? If you're passionate about contract strategy, compliance, and building strong business relationships, we'd love to have you on our team.
As our VP of Contracts, you will lead the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts—from proposal through closeout—while serving as a trusted advisor across the organization. This is an opportunity to make a direct impact by supporting strategic growth initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and helping position Westway for continued success.

What You'll Do
Government & Commercial Contract Management
• Lead the administration of federal, state, local government, and commercial contracts from proposal through closeout.
• Review and negotiate solicitations, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, contract modifications, and other contractual documents.
• Identify contractual risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations.
• Monitor contract performance, deliverables, milestones, renewals, funding, and expiration dates.
• Support proposal development, pricing reviews, and capture activities to position the company for success.
Strategic Business Partnership
• Collaborate with Executive Leadership, Business Development, Operations, Security, Finance, and Legal throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Provide contractual guidance to internal stakeholders and leadership.
• Research regulatory changes and advise leadership on potential business impacts.
• Support internal and external audits while maintaining organized contract documentation and processes.
License Agreement & Facility Management
• Serve as the primary administrator for General License Agreements (GLAs), managing agreements from negotiation through execution.
• Oversee licensee occupancy, renewals, extensions, and space allocation across Westway facilities.
• Coordinate with Client Success, Strategic Initiatives, Operations, Finance, and the Facility Security Officer to ensure seamless onboarding and continued occupancy.
• Help drive facility utilization and support Westway's long-term growth strategy.

What We Need
• Five (5) or more years of government and/or commercial contract administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal procurement regulations.
• Experience negotiating and administering federal contracts.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and contract interpretation skills.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Contract Management, Public Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

What You'll Bring
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or other federal agencies.
• Knowledge of secure facilities (SCIFs) or classified government programs.
• Professional certification such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM (preferred).
• Experience with contract management systems and ERP platforms.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is a plus.
