Client: Andromeda Systems Inc. (ASI)
Position: Mechanical Subsystems Engineer
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: 5-month Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 hour shifts) NAS JAX
Interview Process: 1 & done virtual
Must be a US Citizen and QUALIFY for Secret Clearance
Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree - Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Materials, or Structural Engineering
Engineer 7+ years' experience in Subsystems
Landing Gear, Hydraulics, Flight Control Systems
Fuel Systems, ECS, Support Equipment
Hands on Troubleshooting Experience -"Fleet Maintainer" OR "Service Engineer"
Plusses
A and P Mechanic License
Past NAVAIR experience
Past Air Force experience
Knowledge of Boeing 707, E-3, E-8, and KC-135 aircrafts
Background Supporting the military
Day to Day
This person will be assisting maintenance in the troubleshooting of hydraulic repairs, suppression systems repair, fuel system repairs, pressurization repairs, landing gear repairs and others. They will be responsible for ensuring repairs are compliant with policies and regulation as well as ensure the aircraft operates properly and safely.
Develop detailed solutions for technical, operational, and maintenance problems
Assist maintenance in troubleshooting:
the rigging of aircraft control systems
aircraft hydraulic repairs and malfunctions
aircraft fire detection and suppression system repairs and malfunctions
aircraft fuel system repairs and malfunctions
aircraft pressurization system repairs and malfunctions
Present to management or team
Ensure repairs are compliant with approved naval aviation maintenance policies
Perform engineering investigations of failed aircraft components and systems
Determine criticality of aircraft system components by performing failure mode effects and criticality analysis
Review technical publication deficiency reports and update publications where necessary
Ensure aircraft operates properly and safely
Draw and read blueprints, give material estimates and time required for repairs
