Job Description
- Develops process control policies and procedures for repair and refurbishment of weapons systems, range finders, and weapon suppression systems.
- Provides technical advice on machinery, methods, materials, and standards for ordnance/weapon systems operations.

- Conducts weapon related testing to analyze data and identify problems.
- Employee may be required to participate in training exercises as assigned.
- Position is subject to a pre-employment physical.
- May be assigned to work both on and off Camp Stanley Storage Activity (CSSA). Off CSSA may include travel as directed by the Government and include deployment of varying lengths outside of the US
- Must obtain and maintain eligibility for a Top Secret clearance.
- A one year supervisory probationary period may be required, if not previously completed.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization. The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes, 1. Solving complex technical problems on weapons and ordnance materials; 2. Advising others on the development or production of small arms and ammunition; 3. Correcting deficiencies with fielded weapon systems; and 4. Creating technical reports and standard operating procedures for equipment and/or projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
