We have an exciting opportunity for a to support one of our premier programs. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, systems modeling and analysis, design development support, and test expertise to Agile software development teams and engineering stakeholders. You will perform technical analyses and define system functionality by developing use cases, translating requirements into system capabilities, defining epics and features, and establishing system interfaces and acceptance criteria. You will support mission-level modeling and simulation of sensing and effects capabilities across the seabed-to-space domain, conduct multi-level operational analyses, develop integrated system-of-systems architectures, and apply operations research techniques to support complex mission solutions.


  • Develop innovative approaches and solutions to address some of our customers' most complex technical challenges
  • Collaborate with Agile development teams across diverse product areas, including sensors, effectors, command and control, and other mission-focused capabilities
  • Develop, validate, and benchmark models (constructive, simulation, and systems-focused) to support integrated system-of-systems architecture solutions
  • Lead the development of kill chain performance models, engagement models, military CONOPS visualizations, mission-level operations research, and multi-fidelity simulations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Raytheon to integrate capabilities, technical expertise, and products across the organization
  • Support complex, multidisciplinary engineering efforts that bring together diverse technologies and mission capabilities to deliver innovative solutions



  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience supporting low- to mid-Technology Readiness Level (TRL) mission system development and prototyping efforts
  • Experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis across at least two levels of the modeling and simulation hierarchy, including mission, engagement, and engineering analysis
  • Experience with government-owned analysis tools, such as AFRL tools AFSIM and ARGOS
  • Experience with scripting languages (MATLAB and/or Python), programming languages (C++), and object-oriented design principles
  • Experience modeling and analyzing low- to mid-TRL electro-optical (EO) and/or radio frequency (RF) systems
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance



  • Master of Science degree in Operations Research or an advanced degree in a STEM-related field
  • Experience with modern Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices, including common architectures, platform interfaces, and Open Mission Systems (OMS) concepts
  • Experience applying fuzzy logic and/or artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) techniques
  • Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Joint or Military Service-level requirements development processes
  • Operational experience in Air, Land, Naval, or Space/Orbital Warfare domains, including requirements development, mission tactics development, weapon system employment, and U.S. military concepts of operations (CONOPS)
  • Experience utilizing Agile engineering tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Jama
  • Experience working as an Agile Systems Engineering team member supporting software development efforts

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
