Job Description
- Responsible for overseeing and coordinating planning, developing scopes of work (SOW), and/or Performance Work Statements (PWS).
- Serve as the Project Manager delivering the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned facilities projects.
- Review project progress measuring performance and take necessary corrective actions.
- Serve as project coordinator for a variety of service contracts and single task delivery order projects.
- Provide oversight, data entry, repair history, analysis and documentation of ongoing maintenance control program for equipment including electrical and mechanical operating equipment, machinery, miscellaneous tools.
- Develop preventative maintenance program to include identifying requirements, monitoring maintenance schedules (i.e., contractor or other government mechanism), and inspection/certification on compliance of maintenance performed.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster), the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain a Contracting Officer Representative training certificate within 6 months from date of appointment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Utilizing various engineering methods, principles, and work techniques to advise on or resolve procedural issues; Developing cost estimates; Integrating facility functions, such as engineering and design, cost engineering, construction, real estate, contracting, and other commitments in support of assigned projects into a comprehensive Project Management Plan; Coordinating service contracts; Providing oversight for ongoing machinery, operating equipment, and tools maintenance.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
