Job Description



  • Authorize the disclosure or release of US Classified Military Information (CMI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) to foreign governments and international organizations.
  • Provide expertise on foreign disclosure and guidance based on DoD (Department of Defense) policies and regulations.
  • Review materials to determine if all disclosure criteria have been met.
  • Coordinate with various officials to determine recipient requirements and to resolve any potential disclosure issues.
  • Conduct inspection trips to offsite components and military groups.
  • Adjudicate the disclosure of information to foreign governments and international organizations.
  • Update database regularly to ensure statistical command data is available for internal control purposes.
  • Provide technical advice to individuals regarding submission procedures and processes.
  • Utilize software tools and web supported portals to execute foreign disclosure operations within the construct of exercises.
  • Conduct monthly training seminars as new personnel are indoctrinated into the command.
  • Ensure compliance regarding personnel security and information security requirements and standards.





  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance.
  • This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • There is a TDY requirement of up to 5% of the time.
  • Desired: Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese.
  • This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core Security Professional Education Development Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification within their first two years of employment.
  • IAW DoD 8570.01-M and AR 25-2. Incumbent must meet all Tech Level II training and certification requirements and/or security related tools/devices, as required by the employing organization within six (6) months of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Utilize software tools and web supported portals to execute foreign disclosure operations within the construct of exercises; 2) Develop strategies for implementation throughout the organization regarding methods to ensure compliance of foreign disclosure policies and procedures; and 3). Adjudicate the disclosure of information to foreign governments and international organizations in response to foreign disclosure requests received.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
