Job Description

As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:

As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner
- Review and develop Information Systems (IS) accreditation/certification support documentation.
- Maintain RMF standards and Configuration Management
- Perform STIGS / SCAP on the network, Self Inspections, and enforce remediation actions
- Assess Vulnerability and Risk Management
- Create and maintain system Assessment and Authorization policies.
- Create, update, and monitor/maintain SOPs and plans including PO&AMs, Continuous Monitoring, SSPs, and Incident Responses
- Perform audits (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) to identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures
- Maintain IS security records and advise and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements
- Track software and hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Service Life (EOSL)
- Provide security coordination and reviews on all system test plans
- Attend system Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings.
- Active TS//SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
- Bachelors degree
- 6-8 years of relevant experience supporting DoD/IC security and Information Technology systems
- Current DOD IAT Level III certification: e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH
- Experience with assessment tools such as ACAS, SCAP, and STIG Viewer
- Adept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadership
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills
- Current or prior Special Access Program experience a plus!
