Job Description
SMS is hiring Patch Management Administrators to support our AFCENT NOSC contract at Shaw AFB. The AFCENT's mission is to deliver combat-ready air, space, communications, and cyberspace capability for USCENTCOM, helping maintain security and stability throughout Southwest Asia. We support the AFCENT Commander, USCENTCOM, coalition and joint partners, and warfighters who rely on NIPRNet, SIPRNet, partner networks, and other command-and-control systems. The AFCENT NOSC program is focused on running and protecting a 24/7 enterprise network and systems operations, including cybersecurity, engineering, maintenance, and technical support, keeping the AFCENT's theater communications and IT infrastructure ready, secure, and available to effectively execute the AFCENT mission.

Job Responsibilities
- Ensure correct installation, configuration, use and maintenance of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM) platform.
- Package, test, and deploy automated desktop applications installations and patches within the MECM framework.
- Develop user guidance documents and installation instructions.
- Test and validate IT systems security patches and hot-fixes as defined by Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), Time Compliance Network Orders (TCNO), and local security guidance.
- Support the distribution of security patches throughout the enterprise using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
- Provide configuration management for the MECM distributed enterprise architecture. Provide support and instructions to remote locals using telephone, on-site visits, and terminal services.
- Use data replication software to keep sites up-to-date with software packages and other software.
- Track package deployment and status updates using on-line trouble ticketing systems.
- Develop reports and trend analysis documentation.
- Create collections and advertisements for mass software/patch distribution.
- Provide support to NOSC Vulnerability Management section.
- Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware and software using a project-based timeline.
- Responsible for maintenance of enterprise Data-At-Rest (DAR) solutions.
- Develop, design, create, write, and modify MECM queries, collections, packages, and advertisements to distribute enterprise level security patches, hot-fixes, and other software as required.
- Collaborate with the Web Development team to maintain the MECM web page.
- Coordinate the dissemination of security vulnerabilities using the Communications Tasking Order (CTO) and/or Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to deployed sites.
- Provide General IT Management support.
- Provide General Networking support.
- Provide LAN support.
- Provide WAN Enterprise support.
- Provide technical and general O&M support as required.
- Provide documentation/reports support as required.
- Provide meetings/briefings support as required.
- Provide functional training support as required.
- Provide OCONUS deployment/TDY travel support as required.
- Provide CONUS TDY support as required.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in related field and 3 or more years' relevant IT experience; Or, 5 or more years' relevant IT experience.
- Unix/Linux and HBSS experience.
- Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server using server images.
- Experience with implementation of storage solutions, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
- Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with managing Microsoft users and permissions, creating active directory domain services (AD DS) forests, designing server infrastructure, troubleshooting, protecting network, and user data.
Certifications Required
- CompITA Network +CE or CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- ITIL Foundation - Candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification
Clearance Required
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
