• Position Title: Enterprise Workflow & Data Governance Lead
• Clearance Level: Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI)
• Location: Arlington, VA
• Reporting To: Lead for Digital Environments, APEX
• Travel: ~10-15%
Role Overview:
The Enterprise Workflow & Data Governance Lead acts as the central authority for APEX’s operational processes, toolset administration, and data standards. This critical, dual-hatted role ensures that the organization's workflows are efficiently executed in the Program Management Tool (PMT) and that all resulting data adheres to strict governance and Knowledge Management (KM) policies. The incumbent will serve as the primary PMT product owner, administer DevSecOps collaboration tools (Jira/Confluence), and act as the Action Officer for the Data Governance Board. By bridging process execution and data integrity, this leader prevents data silos and ensures APEX leadership receives accurate, standardized Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Responsibilities:
• Workflow Definition & PMT Oversight: Analyze and map APEX organizational workflows (project management, experimentation planning) and translate them into actionable requirements for the PMT contractor. Serve as the lead government administrator and product owner for the PMT.
• Data Governance & Policy Enforcement: Write, develop, and maintain comprehensive data governance policies and metadata standards. Inspect data pipelines and PMT inputs to ensure compliance, escalating enforcement requirements to leadership when necessary.
• Governance Board Facilitation: Serve as the Action Officer for the APEX Data Governance Board. Coordinate agendas, facilitate discussions between technical/operational stakeholders, and drive governance action items to completion.
• Knowledge Management (KM) Administration: Manage and optimize the organization's DevSecOps collaboration tools (specifically Confluence and Jira) alongside the PMT, ensuring standardized documentation, issue tracking, and secure, cross-platform information sharing.
• KPI Reporting & Analytics: Develop dashboards within the PMT and KM tools to track organizational KPIs. Generate weekly summary reports to APEX leadership regarding project status, experimental timelines, and data compliance.
• Training & User Adoption: Develop training materials and execute comprehensive training programs for all personnel, ensuring high proficiency and consistent use of both the PMT (Exonaut) and KM tools.
