The Advanced Airborne RF Sensors team within the Space & Airborne Systems Engineering and Test Capability (SE&TC) Center is seeking a Senior RF Systems Engineer to support integration and test of complex airborne RF sensor systems. In this role, you will work across hardware and software disciplines to integrate system components, develop and execute test plans, evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify requirements leading up to final sell-off.
You will build and exercise systems in the lab and in the field, analyze system performance, and ensure our products operate flawlessly from first power-on through delivery. This role provides broad technical exposure, opportunities to solve diverse challenges, and the ability to work directly with engineering teams across multiple specialties. As part of our integration and test organization, you will have a hands-on role in making the entire system come together.
- Support Maritime Radar Systems Product Lifecycle
- Radar Mode Engineering
- Testing, Integration and Flight Testing
- Perform Radar Mode Design
- Conduct Design and Development of Radar Capabilities
- Signal Processing and Waveform Analyses
- Develop mathematical algorithms for Radar Signal Processing
- Make performance predictions and analyze Radar Test Data to evaluate algorithm performance
- Interface with Engineering Team Members (i.e., Chief Engineer, Systems Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Software Engineers, Firmware Engineers, etc.)
- Perform analyses on Radar Flight Test Data
- Prepare mode design on Radar Systems
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of experience in Radar Systems Engineering and Algorithm Development to include Radar Systems, Software Engineering, Radar Signal Processing Techniques, Mathematical/Radar Mode Algorithm Development, Analytic Techniques and Digital Simulation Models (DSM)
- Design and analyze Radar Receiver Architectures and Radar Mode Designs
- Embedded GPS/INS (EGI) Systems
- MATLAB and C or C++ (coding experience required)

- Active Secret Clearance with investigation within five years
- Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM preferred)
- Radar Performance Requirements, modes/capabilities, calibration, system architecture and interfaces
- Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to internal and external stakeholders

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
