Job Description

Title Operations Research and Systems Analyst and Planner Location Fort Meade Description
Responsibilities
• Conduct operations research and systems analysis to support military planning, campaign assessments, and mission effectiveness.
• Develop and apply analytical methods including wargaming, campaign analysis, mission engineering, modeling, and simulation.
• Analyze operational activities and mission data to support decision-making and resource allocation.
• Design, develop, and lead analysis efforts across multiple teams and mission areas.
• Apply mathematical, statistical, and visualization techniques to evaluate operational performance and campaign objectives.
• Validate data, models, and analytical results to ensure accuracy and mission relevance.
• Develop reports, briefings, and visualizations that inform senior leadership and command decision-making.
• Serve as a liaison between multidisciplinary analysis teams and government stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts as needed.

Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Operations Research and Systems Analysis (ORSA) experience.
• Experience designing and applying mathematical, statistical, or econometric analysis methods.
• Experience with wargaming, campaign analysis, mission engineering, or similar operational analysis methodologies.
• Experience translating complex analytical results into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• 7+ years of ORSA or operational analysis experience.
• Experience supporting military, joint operations, or special operations environments.
• Experience with campaign assessments, mission engineering, or operational planning within the DoD.
• Experience supporting organizations such as the Center for Army Analysis, RAND, OPNAV N81, or similar operations research organizations.
• Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field. Doctorate preferred.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary analytical teams and briefing senior government leadership.
