Ideal Candidate:
Has a strong modeling and simulation, as well as digital engineering, background and can manage a team of government and contractor personnel to execute assigned tasks related to facility design and maintenance as well as communication systems installation and sustainment.
Required Skills
Duties: To serve as a modeling and simulation engineer to the Commander, 10th Force Development Squadron (10 FDS). This role is responsible for assisting in wargame and experiment execution and ensuring the 10 FDS produces timely, high-quality analytic products (e.g. wargame strategies, designs, plans, and reports) and outcomes (e.g., wargame execution and analysis) through the effective application of modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.
Desired Skills
Knowledge and skills for the position:
1. Experience in the modeling and simulation of USSF space systems highly desired.
2. Knowledge of the theories, concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, and materials of multidisciplinary professional engineering to effectively apply engineering theories, principles, and concepts to areas of responsibility.
3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of an organization while mentoring its members.
4. Ability to research, evaluate, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and procedures to a variety of situations and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
5. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.

Additional Position Requirements:
-Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
