Technical Writer

Insight Global is seeking a Technical Writer to support a mission-critical defense program with the U.S. Air Force. This role is focused on advancing long-range capabilities through the development and maintenance of high-quality technical and governance documentation. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that complex system information is clearly documented and compliant with program standards, enabling effective decision-making across engineering, operations, and leadership teams. This is a highly collaborative role supporting cutting-edge systems integration efforts in a secure environment.

• Maintain and update governance documentation (SEMP, CMP, SOW) to align with program requirements
• Develop, revise, and manage technical documentation including manuals, workflows, and system diagrams
• Partner with engineers and SMEs to gather and translate complex technical data into clear documentation
• Ensure all documentation meets compliance, policy, and regulatory standards
• Conduct quality assurance reviews for completeness, accuracy, and usability
• Create and manage POA&Ms and project documentation for planning and execution
• Maintain document repositories and enforce version control best practices
• Identify gaps and continuously improve documentation processes and standards
