Technical Project Manager – Missile Systems
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager – Missile Systems to support Department of War (DoW) programs focused on missile systems, weapons integration, test and evaluation, and advanced defense technologies. This position serves as a trusted technical advisor to government customers, providing project leadership, technical oversight, and coordination across multiple stakeholders to ensure successful execution of mission-critical initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in weapons systems, range operations, munitions handling, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS), with the ability to lead complex projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of technical projects supporting missile systems, weapons integration, and advanced defense capabilities throughout the project lifecycle.
-Provide technical expertise in weapons safety certifications, munitions handling procedures, and kinetic unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations supporting test and evaluation activities.
-Coordinate and support live-fire demonstrations, developmental testing, operational assessments, and range events while ensuring compliance with applicable safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
-Serve as the primary interface between government customers, military organizations, industry partners, and technical teams to facilitate project execution, technical staffing, and mission success.
-Advise Life Cycle Capability Management (LCCM) participants on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) initiatives and provide support for FMS coordination, stakeholder engagement, and international partner collaboration.
-Prepare and deliver project schedules, technical documentation, executive briefings, risk assessments, and status reports while tracking milestones, deliverables, and program performance.
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Program Management, Military Science, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
-10+ years of experience supporting DoW weapons systems, missile programs, test and evaluation, or defense acquisition programs.
-Demonstrated knowledge of weapons safety certification processes, munitions handling, and range operations.
-Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Security Cooperation, or international defense programs.
-Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects and coordinate cross-functional teams in a government contracting environment.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level briefings and technical documentation.
Active TS/SCI Clearance Required
Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience supporting missile or precision-guided weapons programs.
Familiarity with DoW acquisition, systems engineering, and test & evaluation (T&E) processes.
-Experience working with Program Executive Offices (PEOs), military laboratories, or operational test organizations.
-Current or previous military service in a weapons, missile, aviation, or acquisition-related career field.
-Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management experience.
