The goal of NASIC/ISS' (ICAM) is to create a secure and trusted environment where approved
administrators can access all authorized resources (including [services, information systems], and
data) to have a successful mission, while also letting NASIC/ISS know who has elevated access on the
network at any given time.
To realize this goal, the NASIC/ISS must support capabilities that:
- Provide identity, credential and access management services to protect all information systems
and DoD electronic resources. - Enable the ability to look up contact data for person entities and Non-Person Entities (NPE).
- Estimate 294 total JWICS administrative and service accounts.
- Estimate 234 total Secret administrative and service accounts.
- Estimate 162 total NIPRNet administrative and service accounts.
- Estimate 30 administrative account requests per month.
- Conduct a monthly DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Compliance Review Scope.
- Support, as the subject matter expert, the engineering, integration, operations, troubleshooting,
maintenance, and upgrades of existing and new network and endpoint-based cybersecurity
capabilities, including Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS, aka HBSS) and the ACAS for enterprise level networks to include associated cloud resources. - Research and recommend technical solutions to address network and system vulnerabilities and
security compliance deficiencies. - Provide SME/Security Engineering support for new and emerging technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support the NASIC/WME Modeling and Simulation mission, facilitating the A&A of network systems within NASIC/WME in accordance with Intelligence Community Directive 503, National Institute of Standards and Technologies 800-Series Publications, Committee on National Security Systems Instructions, and the Risk Management Framework.
- Prepare documents required for: Interim Authority to Test/Authorization to Operate (IATT/ATO) approvals, Security Impact Analysis (SIA) and required artifacts, Plans of Actions & Milestones (POA&Ms), and A&A package artifacts.
- Support NASIC Information System Security Managers (ISSMs), Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), Information System Security Engineers (ISSEs), assisting in the execution of Cybersecurity policy, processes, and procedures as applied to the NASIC/WME network systems.
- Aid in the tracking and reporting of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance and system authorization project status for the NASIC/WME networks.
- Document, track, and report on unmitigated vulnerabilities, exceptions to policy, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Produce, request, and gather required information for system authorization packages, track system packages progress within Xacta, and update system status as required to obtain and maintain an ATO.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology or Information Security discipline or at a minimum 4 years of experience in Cybersecurity.
- Possess & maintain Information Assurance Technical (IAM) Level I certification as required by Air Force Manual (AFMAN) 17-1303, Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140.01, and DoD
8570.01-M. - Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles to include ability to obtain and maintain the Certification and Accreditation of network systems according to NASIC, USAF, IC and DOD requirements and directive.
- Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
