Position Summary:
JGMS is seeking an experienced engineer to join our team as part of a project that is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers across multiple locations.
Review and disposition supplier design submittals to validate designs based on technical requirements.
Interface with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are satisfied.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering, or science field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Prior experience in fire suppression design.
Prior experience with structural stress analysis.
Ability to review, understand, and apply relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g. UFC, IBC, ASME).
Strong knowledge of special inspection and/or lifting and handling requirements.
Prior experience supporting design reviews and technical interchanges with suppliers.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to think creatively and made recommendations to senior project personnel.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
Security Clearance
Candidates must possess a DOE Q security clearance or equivalent DoD Top Secret security clearance.
Background Check and Screenings
A pre-employment drug screening and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verification is required.
