Job Description
SignatureFederal has multiple opportunities available for Support Generalists. Support Generalists (aka Administrative Assistant, Staff Support, Executive Staff Support) provide support expertise to customers to satisfy moderately-complex to complex specialized customer requirements in all areas of support including calendar and travel scheduling, editing and reviewing emails, ordering supplies, etc.
Support Generalists use a broad skill set and discretion to fulfill a variety of specialized customer requests and/or resolve issues and will be responsible for all of some of the requirements below based on prior experience:
• Integrate activities of multiple disciplines to resolve customer issues.
• With customer direction resolve complex problems with creative application of standard procedures and leverage other resources as necessary to satisfy customer requirements.
• Prioritize and process high volumes of unique, sensitive material with discretion.
• Interpret or seek interpretation of policy and regulation on behalf of customers.
• Develop and facilitate training and briefings to customers on assigned work unit’s area of expertise; provide one-on-on briefings to customers as needed.
• Critically think through solutions for non-routine cases or customer issues.
• Process various forms and authorization memos in support of dynamic customer and stakeholder requirements
• Deconflict information on documents and schedules.
• Manage travel details including passports and visas.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required combination of the following:
• Exhibit strong attention to detail and apply excellent organizational skills to taskings.
• Ability to manipulate and analyze large volumes of data to identify trends and make recommendations on processes.
• Ability to develop and provide subject matter expertise in assigned support discipline(s).
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear, concise and transparent communications in both written and oral format.
• Effective customer service skills demonstrated by a readiness/willingness to offer assistance and instruction to customers on matters of the assigned work unit’s specialized service.
• Ability to quickly pick up customer specific expertise of assigned work unit or support discipline.
• Ability to adapt to changing work requirements and priorities.
This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph for consideration. Must be able to maintain clearance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
• A minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative or customer support experience.
• Applicable higher education may be substituted for up to one (1) year of work experience.
Preferred:
• At least two (2) years of the four (4) year’s total prior experience supporting the customer.
Education:
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree
Compensation:
SignatureFederal reasonably expects to offer $115,000.00 to $125,000.00 annually for this position based on skills and experience. Benefits also include health, dental and vision coverage, generous time off, and matching 401k.
Travel:
The Support Generalist may be required to travel to CONUS or OCONUS locations as needed.
Location/Expectations:
This is an on-site position in McLean, VA and work hours are 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday.
• Candidates must be organized and able to follow required processes.
• Some training will be given, but candidates must come up to speed quickly and gain familiarity with all steps in the travel process. Travel experience a plus but not required.
• Must possess strong Outlook skills (i.e., schedule meetings, coordinate conference rooms/VTCs).
• Candidates must have strong customer service skills and exhibit professionalism in all interpersonal interactions.
