Business Development Manager – Army & DoD Growth
Are you a strategic business development leader with deep Army and DoD relationships? We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth, expand customer engagement, and identify new opportunities across a growing federal portfolio.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone with a proven track record of developing pipelines, capturing new business, managing strategic partnerships, and successfully navigating the federal contracting landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Pipeline Development
Develop and execute a comprehensive Army-focused growth strategy.
Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities across Army and broader DoD customers.
Build and maintain a strategic pipeline of opportunities with a 2+ year outlook.
Customer Relationship Management
Leverage established relationships within the Army and federal community to uncover opportunities and strengthen customer engagement.
Develop a strong understanding of customer priorities, mission requirements, and acquisition strategies.
Position the organization as a trusted partner to government stakeholders.
Capture & Partnership Strategy
Lead teaming and partnership efforts with prime contractors, subcontractors, and other strategic industry partners.
Support opportunity shaping, competitive positioning, and pursuit strategies throughout the capture lifecycle.
Contribute to proposal and business capture efforts for key pursuits and recompetes.
Market Intelligence
Monitor federal procurement activity, funding trends, modernization initiatives, and emerging requirements.
Provide actionable market intelligence to support business growth and strategic planning.
Executive Engagement
Present pipeline status, opportunity forecasts, and capture strategies to senior leadership.
Deliver regular updates on business development activities, win strategies, and growth initiatives.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in federal business development, capture management, account management, or related growth-focused roles.
Demonstrated success supporting Army and/or Department of Defense customers.
Established network of government and industry contacts within the Army community.
Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and FAR-based contracting.
Experience working with contract vehicles such as IDIQs, BPAs, and GSA Schedules/MAS.
Bachelor's degree required.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic planning skills.

Experience leading large, complex federal pursuits and recompete efforts.
Familiarity with federal health, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
Compensation
160,000-200,000 base salary with bonus opportunities
