Job Description
HII - Mission Technologies is looking for a Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert to support a program at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
The Chief Engineer level engineer will be responsible for establishing and executing a comprehensive DoD compliant program systems engineering process and will require knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.

Job Description
HII - Mission Technologies is looking for a Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert to support a program at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.
The Chief Engineer level engineer will be responsible for establishing and executing a comprehensive DoD compliant program systems engineering process and will require knowledge and experience in engineering principles, criteria, and procedures to Air Force systems, subsystems, and equipment procurement activities, post award project/program management tasks, and acquisition programs throughout their life cycles.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Building and coordinating a MIL-HDBK-516 compliant tailored airworthiness certification criteria
- Managing and executing the flight readiness process.
- Provide products and services as described below in execution of its engineering support mission.
- Apply their engineering knowledge and experience to organize and manage resources and personnel needed to efficiently and effectively accomplish USAF and AFLCMC/WB acquisition objectives consistent with DoD 5000.02 policies and procedures.
- Support implementation of Air Force Integrity Programs. Contractor personnel shall support requirements development, allocation, and verification.
- Support review and evaluation of weapon system design, analyses, and verification documentation and reports.
- Gather and develop technical and business data necessary to build and, as required, present program briefs.
- Support program meetings, working groups, and technical and business reviews as needed. Analyze equipment and software performance deficiencies and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support development of contract and documentation changes and updates.
- Support source selections in a technical advisory role as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant DoD experience and an ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Five (5) of these years must be in a DoD acquisition program as either a sub-system or system lead engineer within a recognized ACAT I (or equivalent) special access program office.
- Two (2) years of DoD SAP engineering experience prior to selection for employment under this contract
- Knowledge and experience developing ACAT I or equivalent low observable aircraft
- TS/SCI clearance is required.
