Job Description
Senior DevSecOps Engineer | Cloud Infrastructure & Secure CI/CD | Active TS/SCI with CI Poly Required
Are you a seasoned DevSecOps Engineer who excels at building secure, automated cloud infrastructure and embedding security at every stage of the software delivery lifecycle? We are looking for a technically elite, forward-thinking professional ready to architect and sustain enterprise DevSecOps solutions in direct support of mission-critical government systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cloud infrastructure engineering and secure software delivery — designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure through code, and integrating security controls that protect mission-critical systems from the ground up. You will deploy and support cloud-native and containerized workloads, monitor enterprise system health and security posture, and collaborate across software development, systems engineering, and cybersecurity teams to continuously improve delivery speed and security outcomes. From supporting system accreditation and risk mitigation efforts to developing architecture diagrams and deployment documentation, this role offers the rare combination of deep technical ownership and broad program impact. If you thrive at the intersection of automation, cloud, and security — this is the role for you.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications:
Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) required
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field
Experience: Demonstrated senior-level experience designing and supporting DevSecOps and CI/CD environments in large-scale enterprise or government programs
Required Technical Skills:
CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and GitLab to support software delivery and system modernization
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, and/or CloudFormation
AWS Cloud Infrastructure: Solid background administering AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures in enterprise environments
Security Integration: Experience embedding security controls, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks directly into development pipelines — security is built in, not bolted on
Containers & Orchestration: Experience deploying and supporting containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes in enterprise or mission environments
Linux Systems Administration: Proficiency supporting Linux-based environments including CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Monitoring & Observability: Experience using Splunk and Elasticsearch to monitor system health, performance, and security posture across complex environments
Cybersecurity & Compliance: Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, secure coding practices, and compliance requirements in regulated or government environments
Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills for automating operational tasks and improving delivery efficiency
Agile Collaboration: Experience supporting Agile development teams and operating effectively in sprint-based delivery cycles
Documentation: Ability to develop and maintain clear operational documentation, deployment procedures, and architecture diagrams
NICE TO HAVE
Preferred Qualifications:
IC / DoD Program Experience: Prior experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense programs — a strong differentiator for this role
Kubernetes Administration: Advanced experience with Kubernetes administration and container orchestration at enterprise scale
Zero Trust Architecture: Experience designing or implementing Zero Trust or cloud security architectures in classified or regulated environments
Microservices: Experience supporting microservices-based applications and the unique DevSecOps challenges they present
Compliance Frameworks: Familiarity with NIST 800-53, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and other federal cybersecurity compliance standards
Certifications: Relevant certifications are highly desirable, including AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Security Specialty, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD)
Key Technologies:
AWS | Terraform | Ansible | Jenkins | GitHub | GitLab | Docker | Kubernetes | Linux | RHEL | Splunk | Elasticsearch | CI/CD | Infrastructure as Code | Cloud Security | Security Automation | DevSecOps
