The Opportunity:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of program operations, ensuring mission objectives are achieved through effective planning, resource management, process optimization, and operational oversight. This position serves as a key member of the program leadership team, coordinating cross-functional activities, managing operational performance, and implementing standardized processes that support efficient and compliant execution of Department of Defense (DoD) and Combatant Command (COCOM) missions. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence by improving workflows, monitoring program performance, mitigating risks, and ensuring quality service delivery while maintaining alignment with customer requirements and organizational objectives.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily program operations to ensure successful execution of mission requirements, contract objectives, and customer priorities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational processes, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality.
- Coordinate personnel, resources, schedules, and operational activities across multiple functional teams to support mission success.
- Monitor program performance metrics, analyze operational data, and identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce risk, and optimize resource utilization.
- Conduct operational assessments and identify process improvements that increase efficiency and support continuous program growth.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, organizational policies, and applicable government regulations.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives, conduct audits and reviews to verify adherence to established standards and operational procedures.
- Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize mission impacts and improve program resilience.
- Collaborate with program leadership, government customers, subcontractors, and support organizations to resolve operational issues and improve service delivery.
- Support transition planning, operational readiness activities, and implementation of new program initiatives.
- Prepare operational reports, briefings, and executive-level status updates for internal leadership and government stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and customer service throughout the program.
- Mentor and provide guidance to operations personnel while supporting workforce development and team performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience managing operations supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Combatant Command (COCOM), or Intelligence Community programs.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex operational activities within large government contracts.
- Experience developing and implementing operational processes, SOPs, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of program management principles, resource planning, operational reporting, and quality management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desired:
