Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) All Source Analyst to conduct analysis using intelligence and information from multiple sources to assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that are regional or functional in nature. A successful candidate will be able to balance intelligence analysis with good management and leadership principles for a small team of 3-5 junior/mid-grade analysts. This position will be based out of Washington, D.C. or the greater National Capital Region (NCR). This is an opportunity to get in on the "ground level" of a new and exciting program with a critical Department of War (DoW) customer.

A successful candidate will be able to balance intelligence analysis with good management and leadership principles for a small team of 3-5 junior/mid-grade analysts. This position will be based out of Washington, D.C. or the greater National Capital Region (NCR). This is an opportunity to get in on the "ground level" of a new and exciting program with a critical Department of War (DoW) customer.
What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of 3-5 all-source analysts, providing analytic and management oversight of team production and professional development.
- Provide all-source analytic support to collections, operations, investigations, and other defense intelligence analytic requirements.
- Define problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data, providing advice and recommending solutions to customer leadership.
- Identify, plan, develop, and execute analytic production methodologies, tradecraft, and techniques aligned with the customer's mission.
- Provide strategic advice and technical guidance to Defense planners and policymakers, up to the Undersecretary level or higher.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, analytic methodologists, computer scientists, and other technical disciplines to design, build, and implement intelligence production tools and applications for use by the U.S. Intelligence Community.
- Review and quality-check team analytic products to ensure compliance with Intelligence Community (IC) tradecraft standards, including source validation, objectivity, and structured analytic techniques.
- Serve as a liaison between the analytic team and customer stakeholders to align production priorities with mission requirements.
What you need to have
- Must possess a TS/SCI clearance with a CI Poly
- Master's degree from an accredited education institution
- Minimum of 12 years of experience conducting intelligence analysis (an additional 4 years of experience may be substituted for the above education requirements
- An additional 5 years of experience may be substituted for the above educational requirement
- Ability to define problems, supervise studies, and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions
- Analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft, and techniques aligned with the customer's mission
- Extensive ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to Defense planners and policymakers (e.g., Undersecretary level or higher)
What we'd like you to have
- Master's degree in an intelligence or STEM discipline
- At least 20 years of experience conducting intelligence analysis
- Experience creating products for Object Based Intelligence purposes
- Vast experience within the DoW and/or US Intelligence Community
- Experience working with AI/ML tools for intelligence analysis and production
- A desire to shape how the DoW will use machine-assisted tools and applications for the foreseeable future
