Job Description

Akima Mission Optimization (AMO) is seeking an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Management Analyst to work in Dahlgren, VA. The successful candidate will provide on-site support at NSWC Dahlgren Division with day-to-day operational activities supporting the Corporate Operations Department, EEO Division.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program policies and procedures.
  • Exercise independent judgment during the review, analysis, and validation of data to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and facilitate resolution to ensure compliance with policy.
  • Manage the EEO internal website by updating information, to include metrics, guidance, policies, procedures, and reference materials.
  • Lead the compilation and analysis of data necessary for EEO compliance, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Manage and track reasonable accommodation cases and supporting data in the Navy Electronic Accommodations Tracker (NEAT).
  • Maintain compliance with Reasonable Accommodation processes, policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the creation, tracking, and analysis of responses for the Defense Organizational Climate Survey (DEOCS).
  • Provide support to the Complaints Program Manager with updating case files and facilitating the informal complaints process as necessary.
  • Develop and present clear and concise information in both written and oral formats when reviewing work products with EEO staff.
  • Provide guidance and support focus groups for the DEOCS process.
  • Draft and develop reports capturing program statistics and assist the EEO Deputy Director with programmatic tasking.

Qualifications

  • Must currently hold an active DoD-issued Interim-Secret (or higher) security clearance.
  • Associate degree in Human Resources or related business field, OR three (3) plus years of progressively responsible HR experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR, policy and guidance, training, and project management.
  • Proven ability to multitask, work independently with minimal oversight, exercise discretion, manage priorities, and make informed decisions while serving as a subject matter resource.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to provide professional guidance and support.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with EEO, particularly with Reasonable Accommodation and EEO complaints.
  • Familiarity with IBPES (for purchasing) and NEAT (Navy Electronic Accommodations Tracker).
