Job Description
BT-354 – Test Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA (fully on-site, no remote option)
**Please do NOT apply if you do not have an active Poly clearance. Those without a Poly will not be considered.**
Required Experience
-Demonstrated experience with Selenium and Playwright for automated software testing.
-Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and test frameworks.
-Strong programming experience in one or more of the following:
C/C++
Visual Basic
.NET (including Microsoft Office and Web Office development)
Java
Python
JavaScript
-Experience with web application development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
-Experience maintaining and developing applications in Lotus Notes.
Key Responsibilities
Program Management
-Serve as a key support resource for the Sponsor's program objectives.
-Act as the primary point of contact for project status, task management, scheduling, risk management, coordination, and issue resolution.
-Ensure timely and accurate reporting of both programmatic and technical information to project teams and the Sponsor.
-Prepare and support program management reviews, including executive-level reports and briefings, under Sponsor guidance.
-Coordinate meetings, document meeting minutes and action items, and track action items through completion.
-Prepare documentation for Sponsor approval, including cost estimates, reporting requests, and other program-related deliverables.
Software Development
-Design, develop, and maintain classification tools using:
C/C++
Visual Basic
.NET technologies for Microsoft Office and web applications
Java and/or Python
JavaScript
-Develop web-based applications and user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies.
-Maintain and enhance existing Lotus Notes applications and develop new classification tools as required.
Test Automation & Quality Assurance
-Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
-Perform software compatibility testing across applications, hardware platforms, and operating systems.
-Develop comprehensive test plans and automated testing solutions covering:
Functional testing
Regression testing
Negative testing
Database impact testing
Software scenario testing
Bug verification and retesting
Usability testing
Identify, document, and help resolve software defects to ensure high-quality application performance.
