Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Fires Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Information Management Area Services (IMAS)
PAE Fires is a Continental United States (CONUS) organization responsible for supporting approximately 3500 internal and external users across PAE Headquarters (HQ), 3 Capability Program Executive (CPE) Offices, external Army, Joint Forces, including various foreign countries with cooperative agreements. The mission of the organization is to research, design, test, implement, and maintain automated information systems and technical architectures in compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Army and higher headquarters directives, which provide solutions for effectively meeting objectives to manage cross-functional life cycle acquisition, logistics, engineering, configuration management, business management, and financial management requirements to the PAE.
Provide comprehensive IMA and cybersecurity services aimed at supporting the organization’s systems and operations. This includes the adoption and integration of advanced digital technologies, processes, and practices to enhance operational efficiency, decision-making, and overall mission effectiveness. The strategic process of handling information within an organization, encompassing its collection, storage, retrieval, and dissemination. It involves establishing systems and procedures to ensure information is readily available, reliable, and used effectively. IM aims to optimize information use for decision-making, streamline operations, and improve overall business performance.
Candidate should have experience with:
Systems administration and maintenance across multiple separate networks, including ESXi hosts, VMs/appliances, RedHat OpenShift, and VDI desktops.
Server and network infrastructure administration, including hardware/software administration and support for highly secure and available systems on a 24/7 basis.
Virtual infrastructure sustainment, including establishing and sustaining virtual infrastructure, system analysis/design, and support for system-level applications, file systems, and restricted shell access menus.
Hardware installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, backups, updates, and system support.
Backup and recovery management for enterprise data, including storage, archiving, backup, recovery procedures, test validation, and coordination with the CIO and team leads.
Linux NFS, Windows SMB, Enterprise SAN, Cohesity, Dell PowerProtect Data Manager, VMware Replication, vSAN, vProxy, DD Boost, NDMP, REST APIs, S3-compatible object storage, VMware vCenter/vSphere, and SQL Server application-aware backup agents. These are directly named in the PWS backup/recovery section.
Patch/vulnerability coordination and cybersecurity support, including review/evaluation/update of Army and industry patches, DISA-approved cybersecurity scanning tools, IAVM reporting, STIGs, and vulnerability remediation.
DoD 8140 / Army cybersecurity compliance awareness. The PWS states IA/IT personnel must comply with DoD and Army training requirements in DoDM 8140.03, AR 25-2, and DoD personnel security procedures.
Documentation/SOP support, including data and information to maintain system administration SOPs and documentation, with deliverables tied to CDRL A013.
