Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD)staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence, process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers

The Cyberspace Combat Department (CCD) within the Cyberspace Systems Security Subdivision (CS3) is at the forefront of defending our Nation's interests in, from, and to the space domain. Our team of leading cybersecurity professionals specializes in defensive cyber operations, space-focused cyber assessments, reverse engineering, and exploit development to ensure cyberspace superiority in support of space control operations. We integrate cutting-edge technologies with deep expertise in cyber warfare to deliver combat-credible capabilities that enable the Joint warfighter to achieve space superiority.

We are seeking a Cyberspace Warfare Operations and Sustainment Manager to lead a critical team within the CCD. This role directly supports the U.S. Space Force's (USSF) mission to secure our Nation's interests in space by conducting cyberspace warfare operations. You will lead operations and sustainment efforts that protect friendly space capabilities while denying adversaries the ability to exploit space systems through cyberspace exploitations and attacks. This position also plays a vital role in integrating cyberspace warfare with orbital and electromagnetic warfare to achieve the degree of control necessary for Joint forces to operate without prohibitive interference from counterspace threats.

This is a full-time position based 100% onsite in Colorado Springs, CO.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead Cyberspace Warfare and Cyberspace Operations Support: Manage CCD support to USSF Mission Delta 6, 6th Sustainment Squadron operations, and broader USSF missions, ensuring operational readiness and mission success.
  • Support Space Superiority Through Cyberspace Warfare: Integrate cyberspace warfare concepts and capabilities with USSF operations to protect friendly space systems and deny adversary space capabilities, directly contributing to space superiority.
  • Coordinate Across the Space Force Enterprise: Serve as the focal point for CCD's cyberspace warfare support coordinating with Combat Forces Command (CFC) for cyber weapons & tactics development; STARCOM for cyber training, exercises and operational testing; Space System Integration Office (SSIO) for cyber mission engineering; and other operational stakeholders, including HQ USSF, USCYBERCOM, USSPACECOM, Space Forces Space (S4S) operational centers, and AFRL.
  • Develop and Mentor High-Performance Teams: Lead, develop, and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals and cyberspace warfare engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive Strategic Cyberspace Warfare Integration: Lead efforts to integrate emerging offensive and defensive cyberspace warfare capabilities into current and future space control operations, ensuring alignment with broader Aerospace Engineering Technology Group (ETG) mission support and Joint all-domain operations.
  • Oversee Operations and Sustainment: Direct operations support, cyber engineering and architecture development, space vehicle defense, space analytics and detection, and cybersecurity assessments across USSF Mission Deltas to maintain robust operational readiness.
  • Exercise Mission Command and Deliver Results: Operate strategically, engage with impact, lead change, foster innovation, and deliver results in a dynamic, contested, and operationally limited space environment where cyberspace is critical to space warfighting.


What You Need to be Successful - Cyberspace Warfare Operations and Sustainment Manager

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, software development, embedded systems, or similar fields with demonstrated progression in technical leadership.
  • Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring highly technical teams in cyber operations, defensive cyber operations, and/or defense-oriented projects supporting national security missions.
  • In-depth understanding of cyberspace warfare domains as they apply to space operations, including:
    • Defensive cyberspace operations (DCO) and cyber assessments for space systems
    • Offensive cyberspace operations (OCO) and cyber exploit development
    • Joint and USSF cyberspace policy, doctrine, authorities, and operations
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, operational units, mission partners, and senior stakeholders in a joint and coalition environment.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical organizational goals related to national security, space operations, and advanced cyber operations in support of combatant commands or operational forces.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to work locations or customer sites domestically up to approximately 20%.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.


How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
  • Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with both defensive and offensive cyberspace operations in high-stakes, contested environments, particularly within DoD, Space Force, or Intelligence Community space mission operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing innovative cyberspace warfare or electronic warfare strategies that integrate with space control operations.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing large-scale cyberspace operations projects, space mission support initiatives, or similar high-impact programs supporting operational forces or combatant commands.
  • Possession of advanced cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, OSCP, CEH, GCIH, GMON, GCDA) or specialized training in cyberspace warfare, threat intelligence, space systems security, or offensive/defensive cyber operations.
  • Prior experience collaborating with DoW, U.S. Space Force, USCYBERCOM, USSPACECOM, Intelligence Community, or other national security agencies in support of space operations or space control missions.
  • Familiarity with Space Force concepts, doctrine, mission command principles, and the integration of cyberspace operations as an enterprise function enabling space superiority.
  • Former member of USCYBERCOM Cyber Mission Forces.
  • Current TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearances, which is issued by the U.S. government.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
