Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level Linux System Administrator to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of Linux-based systems and servers. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of Linux operating systems, system troubleshooting, networking, and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and operating systems.
Monitor system performance and ensure server availability and reliability.
Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Support system security by implementing best practices and monitoring vulnerabilities.
Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configurations.
Assist in automation and scripting tasks using Bash, Python, or Shell scripting.
Work with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Basic knowledge of Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Red Hat, or CentOS.
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN).
Familiarity with command-line tools and shell scripting.
Basic knowledge of system monitoring and troubleshooting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
