Summary

TTG Solutions is seeking a skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in Lean Agile development and cloud environments. We are looking for a candidate capable of designing, developing, and integrating advanced software solutions, including LLM-powered capabilities, to join our innovative team.

Description

The candidate will participate in all Lean Agile scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions, consulting and coordinating for problem resolution and task clarification. You will collaborate with security, operations, engineering, testing, and other teams to provide system information and technical support. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and modifying software systems, as well as documenting and tracking vendor software roadmaps for updates. The role also involves unit testing software, performing code reviews, and designing scalable search and retrieval systems leveraging Elasticsearch and LLM-powered capabilities such as RAG pipelines.

Experience Level

Subject Matter Expert Normally requires at least sixteen (16) years of experience specific to the skill or occupation. For specific computer languages, systems or technologies, expertise with the subject matter or technology outweighs the number of years of experience.

Requirements: 16 yrs+

Required Skills

• Lean Agile development experience
• Experience building or integrating LLM-based solutions, including RAG and semantic search
• Experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables
• Experience translating customer and system requirements into design
• Experience designing system interfaces
• Experience developing Single Page Applications using React, HTML5, and CSS3
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
• Troubleshooting internet and web protocols/technologies such as Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, or SSL
• Experience with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus
• Elasticsearch experience, including index design and scaling
• Experience designing data pipelines for search and RAG workflows

Optional Skills

• Experience with the sponsor's Lean Agile methodology
• Experience evaluating and integrating LLMs, including OpenAI and open-source models
• Experience with vector databases and relevance optimization
• Ability to lead or mentor teams in search and AI/LLM best practices

Clearance

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Benefits

Benefit	Details
Base Salary	$173,000 - $209,000
PTO	30 days annual PTO, which includes holidays.
Retirement	15% company retirement contribution. No match required. Vesting period is 50% per year over 2 years.
Paid Benefits	Company pays all insurance expenses up to 8% of base pay. If your insurance expenses are less that that, we bonus the difference to you.
Annual Bonuses	3% to 5% annual bonuses.
Cell Phone Stipend	$100 monthly phone expense reimbursement.
Training Budget	3 paid training days + $2,500 training budget
New Hire Bonus	$5,000 new hire bonus

Total Compensation

Total compensation is the total combination of salary, benefits, retirement, bonuses, etc... and it is calculated using the following formula:

Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits Budget + Retirement + Bonus + Training Budget + Phone Stipend

Retirement	$31,350	15% company retirement contribution. No match required. Vesting period is 50% per year over 2 years.
Benefits Budget	$41,800	20% company paid Individual Benefits Account (12% for 30-days PTO, 8% for Insurances). If your insurance or PTO expenses are less than this, we bonus the difference to you.
Annual Bonus	$10,450	Annual bonus, 3% to 5% on average.
Training Budget	$2,500	Annual training budget.
Training Hours	$2,400	3 paid days for training.
Phone Stipend	$1,200	$100 monthly cell phone stipend.
