Summary
TTG Solutions is seeking an innovative and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an individual who excels in Lean Agile environments and has extensive experience with cloud systems and advanced search technologies.Description
Participate in all Lean Agile scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions. Consult and coordinate for problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource requirements, and task clarification. Collaborate with an integrated team of staff and contractors. Understand cloud environments such as AWS or Azure. Coordinate and collaborate with security, operations, engineering, testing, and other teams to provide system information and technical support. Design, develop, and modify software systems. Document and track vendor software roadmaps for software and patch version updates. Unit test software and perform code reviews. Design and implement scalable search and retrieval systems leveraging Elasticsearch. Develop and integrate LLM-powered capabilities, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation, or RAG, pipelines.Experience Level
Subject Matter Expert Normally requires at least sixteen (16) years of experience specific to the skill or occupation. For specific computer languages, systems or technologies, expertise with the subject matter or technology outweighs the number of years of experience.Requirements: 16 yrs+
Required Skills
- Lean Agile development experience
- Experience building or integrating LLM-based solutions, including RAG, semantic search, or AI-assisted retrieval systems
- Experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables
- Experience translating customer and system requirements into design
- Experience designing system interfaces
- Experience developing Single Page Applications using React, HTML5, and CSS3
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express, or comparable modern backend frameworks
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting internet and web protocols/technologies such as Tomcat, Node.js, Web Services, or SSL
- Experience with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma
- DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus
- Elasticsearch experience, including index design, query tuning, relevance tuning, and scaling
- Experience designing or implementing data pipelines to support search and/or RAG workflows, including ingestion, chunking, embeddings, and vector search
Optional Skills
- Sponsor's Lean Agile methodology
- Experience evaluating, selecting, and integrating LLMs, including OpenAI and open-source models, into enterprise applications
- Experience with vector databases, hybrid search, and relevance optimization
- Ability to lead or mentor teams in adopting search and AI/LLM best practices

| Base Salary | $173,000 - $209,000 |
| PTO | 30 days annual PTO, which includes holidays. |
| Retirement | 15% company retirement contribution. No match required. Vesting period is 50% per year over 2 years. |
| Paid Benefits | Company pays all insurance expenses up to 8% of base pay. If your insurance expenses are less that that, we bonus the difference to you. |
| Annual Bonuses | 3% to 5% annual bonuses. |
| Cell Phone Stipend | $100 monthly phone expense reimbursement. |
| Training Budget | 3 paid training days + $2,500 training budget |
| New Hire Bonus | $5,000 new hire bonus |
