SMS is looking for a Campus-Data Center Network Architect to support our AFCENT NOSC contract at Shaw AFB in SC. In this role the person will design and engineer campus datacenter architecture.

Job Responsibilities
- Design and engineer campus/datacenter architecture.
- Configure, design, and maintain datacenter network architecture equipment.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of IP concepts, including implementing routing, VLAN's, QoS, tuning, and capacity management concepts.
- Be proficient in routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS.
- Maintain a Strong understanding of 802.1x.
- Use extensive Wireless LAN background to design campus network architectures to provide proper coverage and support the ability for users to seamlessly move between WLAN access nodes without disconnection or other interruptions in service using appropriate and relevant networking protocols.
- Analyze a myriad of networking metrics and recognize sub-par network performance.
- Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth and network security incidents.
- Provide General IT Management support.
- Provide General Networking support.
- Provide LAN support.
- Provide WAN Enterprise support.
- Provide technical and general O&M support as required.
- Provide documentation/reports support as required.
- Provide meetings/briefings support as required.
- Provide functional training support as required.
- Provide OCONUS deployment/TDY travel support as required.
- Provide CONUS TDY support as required.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in a related field and 5 or more years' relevant IT experience or 7 or more years' relevant IT experience.
- Knowledge of what constitutes a "threat" to a network.
- Skill in providing feedback to enhance future collection and analysis.
- Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, Active Directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
- CCNP
- VCTA
- ITIL Foundation (candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification)
- Active Secret clearance
