DUTIES:
As a SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY SPECIALIST (D2495000), GS-0132-12, you will serve as the full assistant to the Director of Intelligence and Security. Share in and assists the director with respect to all phases of the work of the organization and planning, directing, and administering the State Intelligence and Security Programs. Supervises positions engaged in substanitive Intelligence Security work.
QUALIFICATIONS:

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must posses at least ONE (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level GS-11 or at least THIRTY-SIX (36) months of equivalent specialized experiences performing or supervising duties such as overseeing, coordinating, and managing comprehensive Army National Guard (ARNG) Intelligence and Security programs based on State force structure, missions, and equipment; administering and synchronizing key Intelligence Security functional areas; developing, interpreting, and enforcing State intelligence policies, rules, and procedures derived from ARNG, Army, DoD, and federal regulatory guidance; developing and implementing short- and long-range intelligence plans and providing technical guidance on training plans that support Military Intelligence (MI) technical proficiency; integrating ARNG Funds into State training, readiness, and retention strategies for intelligence personnel; reviewing, analyzing, and validating State ARNG plans, operations, and missions; evaluating subordinate implementation of intelligence program goals and objectives, resolving program shortfalls, and developing long-range staffing and resource strategies; performing supervisory duties including setting performance expectations, evaluating work products, providing feedback, resolving complaints, managing training and development, and ensuring job descriptions, performance standards, and position management requirements; Experience handling disciplinary actions, supporting equal employment opportunity initiatives, administering leave, and maintaining effective labor-management relations.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a college university, technical or vocational school may be substituted at the rate of one academic year of study (30 semester's hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for SIX (6) months of specialized experience.
One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement in a college university, technical or vocational school may be substituted at the rate of one academic year of study (30 semester's hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for TWELVE (12) months of specialized experience.
NOTE:
Copy of the Official/student transcripts showing conferred Degree must be included in order to receive credit for education. Unofficial transcripts from internet or with alterations will not be considered. To receive credit for education the information must be included in the education section of the Resume.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

- Incumbent require to attend the ARNG Security Manager Course within ONE (1) year of appointment.
- May be required the incumbent to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.
- May require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid Puerto Rico State driver's license is mandatory.
