Job Description

Our Client Pueo is hiring for a Senior Network Engineer who will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing a secure enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure. This role collaborates closely with IT service provider teams to ensure network reliability and performance, troubleshoot and resolve incidents, address security vulnerabilities, and design, implement, and optimize network solutions. The Senior Network Engineer also ensures all network activities align with established system security plans and organizational cybersecurity requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide operational support for enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and
firewalls.
• Develop and maintain clear, accurate network documentation (e.g., as‑built diagrams, rack elevations,
installation guides).
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network incidents; perform root‑cause analysis.
• Execute Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) management and system security scanning,
ensuring timely identification and remediation.
• Design, test, and deploy new network capabilities and enhancements to LAN/WAN architecture.
• Coordinate with internal teams and service providers to ensure customer and mission requirements
are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 8+ years of network engineering experience
(additional experience may substitute for degree).
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III certification (required).
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Cisco networking technologies.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong experience troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls.
• In‑depth understanding of IP networking concepts, including subnetting, VLANs, and OSI layers.
• Experience supporting mixed‑vendor network environments.
• Working knowledge of copper and fiber media and common connector types (RJ45, LC, SC, etc.).
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Type 1 encryptors (KG‑175, KG‑250/255).
• Familiarity with enterprise network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds).
• Experience with VMware networking (v7+).
• Experience with technologies such as Cisco Nexus/Catalyst/ISR/Firepower, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, BGP, IPsec, NAT.
• Experience supporting unified communications or collaboration infrastructure.
• Understanding of secure network architectures, including cross‑domain solutions, load balancers, and
reverse proxies.
