Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Supervising law enforcement personnel by planning shift assignments to ensure policy compliance; (2) Developing law enforcement operational plans to support installation-wide security; (3) Conducting criminal investigations to secure evidence and apprehend violators; and (4) Evaluating police performance metrics to recommend shift operational improvements.

About USAG Dugway Proving Ground
The position is located at United States Army Dugway Proving Ground, approximately 50 minutes, from Tooele, Utah, and a 90-minute drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. Dugway offers various alternate work schedule opportunities with most of the workforce working 4 ten-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. DPG is physically remote, entirely self-sufficient with government housing available for Soldiers, civilians, and Contractors. An AAFES PX, Civilian Authorized Commissary, Community Club, Physical Fitness Center, Swimming Pool, Post Chapel, Childcare, Youth Services and Tooele County K-12 school system are on post. Employees choosing to live off post may use subsidized commuter. van transport which operates to and from many of the major cities and towns throughout Utah. - Develops plans for law enforcement operations on the installation, works under the general supervision of the Chief of Police who assigns responsibility on an as needed basis as well as provides general guidance.
- Responsible for supervising through subordinate supervisors the day-to-day operations of a two-shift military police organization.
- Performs specialist tasks such as public relations visits to units and activities serviced.
- Performs the full range of supervisory duties and directs the staff through subordinate supervisors and shift leaders.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Must successfully complete law enforcement training.
- Must successfully complete CPR certification and First Aid.
- Work may require flying on military aircraft.
- Required to pass entry level and annual recertification of standard Army Physical Fitness Test.
- Incumbent will be required to perform a weapons qualification test and maintain proficiency commensurate with assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Required to wear prescribed uniform.
- This position may require you to wear chemical protection equipment in accordance with Army regulation AR 50-6.
- Incumbent must qualify and remain qualified for the Individual Reliability Program (IRP) IAW AR 190-56.
- This is a mission essential position. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Must graduate from a USAMPS accredited academy within 12 months from entrance on duty (or receive a USAMPS waiver).
- Rotating Shifts-This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Civil Action- Incumbent is subject to possible civil action due to improper exercises of authority or injudicious use of force in the apprehension or detention of individuals.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUES:
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 11. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
