Job Description

The Integration Engineer/Cybersecurity Specialist assists with the design, integration, and protection of complex systems in a mission critical environment. This role ensures that hardware, software, networking, and data flows operate cohesively while meeting stringent cybersecurity, accreditation, and compliance requirements. The engineer provides technical leadership across system architecture, secure integration, risk management, and lifecycle sustainment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Operational Readiness of the simulators and training devices within the contract operational metric.
  • Must have critical thinking skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Research, implement, troubleshoot, and document RMF compliance, contractual, and configuration issues to resolution for both Windows and UNIX environments operating in a stand alone/offline environment.
  • Ability to write/understand scripts and reports to create reports extracted from administrative software (BelArc (hardware/software inventories), ACAS (SLA Scan Report, RAW Report)
  • As the ACAS Security Center System Operator you will generate scans, remediate issues, and provide supporting evidence required to the ISSO.
  • As the SCAP and STIG Viewer Operator you will generate, remediate, and provide STIG Checklists to the ISSO.
  • Work with the ISSO on processes, procedures and tools to enhance the RMF process flow.
  • Understand requirements to research and provide input on life cycle replacement of assets under SOFTEAMS preview.
  • Maintenance (scanning, patching, troubleshooting, backups), Troubleshooting (research, connectivity, software, hardware (drivers, failures), Repair (replace disks, reinstall software, replace computers), and Documentation (work instructions, RMF policy documentation input).
  • SAN Administration. Specifying replacement hardware, implementation of the hardware, data management, repair/replace disks. Interface administration.
  • Assist with CISCO switch administration.
  • Work with various vendors in support of administrative software's (Solarwinds, Belarc, CISCO, Dell)
  • Provide periodic weekend/holiday shift support to perform cloned backups of all systems.
  • Oversee network management configuration, integration, firewall management, documentation, troubleshooting and testing.
  • Provide integration and testing support to other contractors as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • This position requires a minimum of Security + certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Candidates must have 5 years of applicable experience to include: RMF compliance, Windows and UNIX environments, STIG Checklists, and SAN Administration.
