Job Description

• Position: Safety and Reliability Product Owner
• Location: Colorado Springs 80921 or Huntsville, AL 35808
• Duration: long term, ongoing contract – we are a direct sub to the C2BMC program
• Clearance: Secret, will hold TS if you already have it
• Program – C2BMC
"This position is part of the Systems Engineering and Verification (SE&V) team on C2BMC and reports to the Engineering Manager for Integrated Systems Engineering Services. The Product Owner will lead a team that provides system and software safety and RAM (reliability, availability, and maintainability) functions to SE&V. Team members include the leads and engineers for both functions.
Essential Functions:
• Oversee all joint team efforts, including resource planning and coordination with other program leadership to produce team status and metric reporting
• Attend iteration planning and coordinate planning for the team as needed
• Participate in leadership meetings alongside other POs and the Technical Leadership team
• Monitor team deliverables and non-deliverables to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
• Elevate challenges or findings through the proper channel
• Update NT stakeholders on statuses
• Manage obstacles that hinder the team’s tasks and deliverables
Basic Qualifications:
Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering (preferred), Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related discipline with 4 years of relevant work experience
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Willingness to travel 10% of the time for business needs
• Experience with generating proposals and BOEs
• Understanding of C2BMC RAM requirements, customer deliverables, and other work products
• Working knowledge of the C2BMC safety program, including related customer deliverables and other work products
• Formal or informal team leadership experience, including coaching and providing performance feedback"
