Position: Software Engineer
Duration: 12 month contract, potential to extend or convert perm
Location (hybrid or remote flexibility if applicable): Hybrid. On site 4-days a week in Manassas
Clearance: Minimum Secret – can hold TS
Interview Process: Virtual or on-site first round, second round if need be
Must Haves:
• Strong professional programming experience in either C, C++, or Java on a very large applications within a Linux OS
• Solid understanding of finding dependencies, linking, and build behavior
• Extensive experience working in Linux environments
• Proven ability to debug complex, non trivial software issues
• Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment
• Familiarity working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
Day-To-Day:
We are seeking a Software Engineer whose primary day to day focus will be analyzing code dependencies, diagnosing build and runtime issues, and fixing defects in a large codebase in a Linux OS. This role works closely with DevOps and build teams to ensure applications compile, link, test, and run correctly in automated CI/CD pipelines (GitLab based).
This is an ideal role for an engineer who enjoys debugging complex systems, understanding how pieces fit together, and stabilizing software in production like environments.
