SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of equipment system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, acquisition, and production. Knowledge of theories and principles of biomedical maintenances planning and management. Knowledge of the various command entities involved in overall planning and execution of operations and evaluations. Knowledge of CAD and engineering software programs sufficient for the development, design, and support of planning and execution of major operations, contingency and expeditionary operations, humanitarian and disaster response mobilization, ground medical operations, deployment tasking, rescue missions, special operations, and other support missions as required.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.

- Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for major contingency medical system or subsystem.
- Manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) plan implementation.
- Serves as the senior technical advisor on contracts and Joint Program documents and meetings.
- Plans and coordinates all work requirements to maintain building(s).

Conditions of Employment Continued:
- A bachelor degree in biomedical engineering, logistics, or related discipline with at least four years specialized medical equipment repair/management experience; or six years specialized medical equipment repair/management experience, with a minimum of three years in Air Force medical logistics. MAJCOM/MEFPAK level or higher staff experience is desirable.

- Knowledge of theories and principles of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well structured, and viable program.
- Knowledge of biomedical system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition.
- Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements. Knowledge of medical logistics and biomedical equipment theories and principles.
- Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into operational use sufficient to identify and correlate specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives/goals and identify support requirements.
- Knowledge and skill of the major operational and logistics information systems such as: Defense Medical Logistics Support System (DMLSS), Joint Medical Asset Repository (JMAR), Medical Readiness Decision Support and the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES). Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
