Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Sr. Consultant to provide highly specialized technical expertise, advanced analytical capabilities, and project leadership in support of complex government IT initiatives. This role operates in cutting-edge technical environments, delivering solutions to challenging information processing, software development, and cybersecurity problems while leading medium to large-scale efforts.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a senior consultant in advanced, leading-edge information technologies and methodologies
• Provide specialized guidance and automated solutions to complex IT and information processing challenges
• Conduct in-depth analyses, develop studies, prepare detailed documentation, and deliver technical presentations
• Manage project work as defined by government stakeholders
• Lead medium to large complex projects and major phases of enterprise-scale initiatives
• Provide technical direction and subject matter expertise for complex IT and software systems
Software & System Development Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, including:
– Processing intensive analytics
– Novel algorithm development
– Large scale data manipulation
– Real time systems
– Business management information systems
• Review and test software components to ensure compliance with design requirements; document results
• Apply appropriate software engineering methodologies aligned with system needs
• Support system level design, including hardware/software trade-offs, reuse strategies, and leveraging COTS/GOTS solutions
• Provide Help Desk support, including ticket handling and resolution using JIRA
Minimum Technical Experience
• Scripting with Java in Linux environments
• Strong background with Docker using Maven
• Proficiency with Git/GitLab and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles
• Experience with Helm, Kubectl, and Kubernetes
Preferred Experience
• Flux and Kustomize
• Kafka, Kyverno, and/or MinIO
Qualifications
• Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph — no exceptions
• High School Diploma/GED with 20 years of relevant experience, OR
• Associate’s degree with 15 years of relevant experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience
