Job Description
The IT Sr. Consultant provides expert-level technical leadership, advanced problem solving, and specialized guidance for complex IT and network environments. This role supports government defined project requirements, leads medium to large-scale initiatives, and delivers solutions to highly complex information processing and cybersecurity challenges.
Responsibilities
• Serve as a consultant in advanced and emerging IT technologies
• Provide specialized guidance for complex automated solutions and system architectures
• Conduct detailed technical analyses, studies, reports, and presentations
• Manage project work as defined by government stakeholders
• Lead medium to large projects and major phases of enterprise level efforts
• Deliver specialized solutions to complex IT and network security problems
Technical Responsibilities
• Strong background with Cisco FirePower Firewalls
• Maintain and upgrade networks, including routers and switches
• Configure and update antivirus and security software to ensure network protection
• Apply STIG fixes and support STE policy compliance
• Design and plan network architectures for Cisco NEXUS switches
• Set up and maintain Cisco network infrastructures
• Configure RADIUS for device administration on switches
• Utilize SolarWinds for network monitoring and management
• Work as part of a team supporting operations from 0600–1800 (8 hour shift within this window)

Qualifications
• Top Secret/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph required — no exceptions
• High School Diploma/GED and 20 years of relevant experience, OR
• Associate’s degree and 15 years of relevant experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of relevant experience
• Must have one IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE)
